WHERE: Belk Scout Camp
WHAT: 2016 Highland Games Etowah Camporee
ACTIVITIES:  Scout skills competitions (morning & early afternoon) - Cooking competition, Tomahawk throw competition, Tug of war competition (Late Afternoon)
You must indicate if you want to be a part of the afternoon activities
WHEN: Friday, October 14, (5:30pm at Scout Hut) – Sunday, October 16 (Returning 10 am)
COSTS: $20.00 to the Troop (Food - $10; Camporee Fee - $10)

WHAT TO BRING:  Backpack or duffle bag recommended

• Bring handbook, pencil, totin’ chit
• Appropriate t-shirts (base layer wicking type) and mid-layer (fleece) and/or Troop hoodie
• Pants / shorts / socks / underwear / sleep wear / hat / jacket - outer shell
• Class A&B clothes for day / versus sleep wear (long johns, sleeping pants)
• STAR rank and above can bring their own tent or hammock
• Sleeping bag, pad and pillow
• Hiking boots and a pair of camp shoes (sneakers…closed-toe shoes)
• Flashlight & whistle; Compass
• Personal first aid kit and day pack
• Personal mess kit…2 water bottles and a drinking cup, plate, bowl, utensils
• Toiletry kit: towel, washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, soap, deodorant, sunscreen
• Meet at Scout Hut at 5:30pm Friday – eat dinner before coming
• We will travel in Class A uniforms, no neckerchief
• We will return Sunday approximately 1: 00 M
• Electronics are allowed for travel only
