Camp Barnhardt Fall Scouts Weekend One
September 18-20

Attention Everyone! ATTENTION! Immediate Response Needed!!!

Troop 65 has the opportunity to attend the Fall Scouts Weekend One at Camp Barnhardt in New London, NC. Before you read below of the awesome weekend, PLEASE immediately respond if you plan to attend!!!

The weekend will start with a Friday arrival and an evening movie being projected on the climbing tower. On Saturday you will have the opportunity to enjoy activities such as Shooting Sports (Archery and Rifle), Waterfront (Canoeing, Kayaking, and Paddleboards), Swimming Pool, and ATV's (scouts must be 14 years old to participate).

But wait....there's more! Scouts will be able to earn one merit badge in Shooting Sports and one merit badge in Waterfront Areas. How much does all this cost? Great question! Up to 2 merit badges can be obtained and 4 meals included (YES, delivered to your campsite) for $55. You do not have to work toward any merit badge if you choose, but with the current restrictions this is a great deal for a weekend campout. The cost for Weekend One is $50 and there is a $5 fuel charge for transportation. (Adult Leaders: there is a $25 cost for each of us).

HERE is the link to the Fall Scouts Weekend One website that gives all the details!

Here's the kicker. There are only 100 spots available for scouts and 25 adults, and there are No Refunds. We need your immediate response in order to have accurate registration numbers as we are not guaranteed a spot! We will be placing our registration this Saturday, August 29th.

Scouts may ask about the Carolina TreeTop Challenge that we have recently mentioned. We are going to pick a different weekend to make a day trip for those that are interested in the ropes course. We felt the cost of trying to accomplish all this may deter some from participating and our goal is to keep cost to a minimum. This event is a great opportunity for your scout to have a fun weekend and the option to earn merit badges. However, if this event sales out before we can get registered then our backup would be to attend the ropes course.

The troop has already processed sign ups. If you would like to attend please click the tab above to reach the registration page for the event. Also fill out the form below so we know you are attending!
