SUBSCRIBE TO TROOP 65 CALENDAR HERE New Hanging Rock State Park           Camping Trip January 17-19th | Danbury, NC Our January camping trip will be to Hanging Rock State Park, just north of Winston-Salem. Good news! The weather for the weekend is trending warmer and should be above freezing our entire trip! We will be taking advantage of the wide variety of trails up the various peaks of the park to complete some requirements of the camping and hiking merit badges.   Please click on the buttons below to sign up or see the itinerary and packing list. HANGING ROCK STATE PARK CAMPING TRIP RSVP CAMPING TRIP ITINERARY & PACKING LIST New Scouting for Food 2025 January 25th - Hangtag dropoff February 1st - Food pickup & sorting Troop 65 again will be helping Mecklenburg County Council feed our neighbors in need through the annual Scouting for Food drive. The date for hangtag drop off is January 25 while food pick up is February 1.    In 2024, Mecklenburg County Council Packs, Troops and Venture Crews collected and sorted approx. 180,000 lbs. of food. The first installment is $155 per Scout due on February 1st. This is also the deadline to cancel your RSVP without losing your $20 deposit. You can make the payment via cash, check or PayPal (use the button below).   For our 2025 Summer Camp, we are headed to Woodruff Scout Camp in Blairsville, GA (near GA, NC and TN border). We already have details about the camp ready for you to review - just click the button below!   If you have yet to RSVP, please know you can still RSVP and make your initial $20 deposit. CLICK HERE TO MAKE PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL New 2025 Troop 65 Ski Trip February 21-23 | Winterplace Resort We are set for our annual Troop 65 ski trip! This year, we will be heading to Winterplace Resort in Ghent, WV.   Our trip is set for February 21st through February 23rd. We will be staying at slope side lodging at the resort which should allow for maximum ski and snowboarding time as lift tickets at Winterplace are good for 12 hours.   As always, we will also allow families to attend this trip as well (families that are not registered Scouts or Scouters will need to find their own separate lodging).   We will have a signup available soon. We are just waiting a final few details from the company we use to book this trip.      Need a Merit Badge Counselor? Counselor lists are now available! Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists.
