Get ready for Monday's meeting and Grayson Highlands trip!

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MAY 12TH, 2025 TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ 7PM! Uniform is Class A with Class B underneath Scouts should bring their backpack (if they have one) with the gear listed for our backpacking trip as Scouts will be working on learning the appropriate way to pack a backpack. This will complete a sign-off needed for many of our Scouts and help them be prepared for this next weekend.   Note: We are aware of the rain forecasted for Monday and are working on an alternate location to meet. We will send out an update on Monday afternoon □ PLC Postponed Until May 19th □ With the rain forecasted for Monday and the uncertainty of where we will meet, I am postponing the next PLC until Monday, May 19th @ 6:00 pm. I will send a note to the PLC members with this informaton later today as well. OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS... SUBSCRIBE TO TROOP 65 CALENDAR HERE NEW BACKPACKING TRIP  MAY 16-18 | GRAYSON HIGHLANDS Our May backpacking trip is next weekend to Grayson Highlands in Virginia. We again are offering two different route options: Experienced Backpackers: 8.9-mile trip that will visit the top of Mt. Rogers Beginner Backpackers: 5.25-mile trip visiting Massie Gap & Pine Mountain Both trips will see (hopefully) Grayson Highlands famous wild horses. Both groups will share campsites on the trip. This is true backpacking - a pack in and pack out event.   If you would like to attend, but have not yet RSVPed, please do so by Monday, May 12th! REMINDER 2025 Summer Camp MED FORMS DUE JUNE 1ST June 22-28th | Woodruff Scout Camp Merit Badges are set for Summer Camp. Mr. Krumbine worked hard to make sure everyone got as much as they wanted as possible, but there are situations that occur where a class might have been full when your merit badges were entered. Be sure to pay attention to emails in case this is the situation.   Our next two deadlines for camp will be for medical forms (parts A, B & C), which are due on June 1st. Final payment is due on June 6th. If you have not yet paid your previous payments, please do so ASAP.. You can make the payment via cash, check or PayPal (use the button below).   We also are planning an informational meeting for Summer Camp 2025 soon.
