REMINDER! TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ 7PM!

Uniform is Class A with Class B underneath. Temperatures will also be much warmer than past weeks, hovering around mid-40s during meeting time. Please come prepared for the weather

REMINDER Scouting for Food

February 1st - Food pickup & sorting

Than you to all who help ed distribute door hang tags for Mecklenburg County Council's annual Scouting for Food drive. Next week, February 1st, is the second part of this service project where we visit the neighborhoods to collect donated food.

We still need some help in both picking up the donations as well as sorting at the Scout Hut. Please click the button and choose a time slot to help complete our mission.

June 22-28th | Woodruff Scout Camp

Saturday is deadline for the first payment for summer camp. The first installment is $155 per Scout due on February 1st. This is also the deadline to cancel your RSVP without losing your $20 deposit. You can make the payment via cash, check or PayPal (use the button below).

For our 2025 Summer Camp, we are headed to Woodruff Scout Camp in Blairsville, GA (near GA, NC and TN border). We already have details about the camp ready for you to review - just click the button below!

New 2025 Troop 65 Ski Trip

February 21-23 | Winterplace Resort

We are set for our annual Troop 65 ski trip! This year, we will be heading to Winterplace Resort in Ghent, WV.

Our trip is set for February 21st through February 23rd. We will be staying at slope side lodging at the resort which should allow for maximum ski and snowboarding time as lift tickets at Winterplace are good for 12 hours.

As always, we will also allow families to attend this trip as well (families that are not registered Scouts or Scouters will need to find their own separate lodging).

We've worked out the final details so be on the lookout for the signup on Tuesday! 

Need a Merit Badge Counselor?

Counselor lists are now available!

Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists. However, in an effort to make it easier for everyone, we created this website listing all merit badges with Eagle required highlighted in blue

Don't forget the proper procedure:

• Choose which merit badge you would like to earn
• Contact the counselor
• Speak to Mr. Hall about pursuing this merit badge and obtain a blue card!

While we don't have a meeting tomorrow night, we do need help packing up the tents from the weekend that we have drying in the Kerr Building. If you can, please meet us at 6:00 pm. This should take 30 minutes or less. No uniform required!

Troop 65 again will be helping Mecklenburg County Council feed our neighbors in need through the annual Scouting for Food drive. The date for hangtag drop off is January 25 while food pick up is February 1. 

In 2024, Mecklenburg County Council Packs, Troops and Venture Crews collected and sorted approx. 180,000 lbs. of food. Lets's see if we can top that this year!

New Hanging Rock State Park           Camping Trip

January 17-19th | Danbury, NC

Our January camping trip will be to Hanging Rock State Park, just north of Winston-Salem. Good news! The weather for the weekend is trending warmer and should be above freezing our entire trip! We will be taking advantage of the wide variety of trails up the various peaks of the park to complete some requirements of the camping and hiking merit badges.

New Hanging Rock State Park           Camping Trip

January 17-19th | Danbury, NC

Our January camping trip will be to Hanging Rock State Park, just north of Winston-Salem.
