TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ 7PM! 

Uniform is Class A with Class B underneath! For part of the meeting, we will be electing our troop senior leadership (Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders) so be sure to be there to make your voice heard!

NEW 2025 SPRING ELECTIONS

Feb 24: SPL & ASPL | Mar 3: PL/APL

It's time to elect our next Troop and Patrol Leadership. Whether you plan to run for an elected position or you are seeking an appointed position, the deadline to file is Sunday, February 23rd! This allows time to have your name added to the ballots for election on for the following Monday.

One change this spring is that the first week will feature elections for Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader only. The following week will elect Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders.

REMINDER 2025 Summer Camp 1st Payment Needed NOW

June 22-28th | Woodruff Scout Camp

Thank you to those who made your first payment for summer camp. If you have not, please make the first installment ASAP. The total is $155 per Scout. You can make the payment via cash, check or PayPal (use the button below).

For our 2025 Summer Camp, we are headed to Woodruff Scout Camp in Blairsville, GA (near GA, NC and TN border). We already have details about the camp ready for you to review - just click the button below!

We also have received 2025 merit badge information and will be planning an informational meeting for Summer Camp 2025 soon. It's suggested all attend as Camp Woodruff has some unique features that needs to factor into merit badge decisions!

Counselor lists are now available!

Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists. However, in an effort to make it easier for everyone, we created this website listing all merit badges with Eagle required highlighted in blue

Don't forget the proper procedure:

• Choose which merit badge you would like to earn
• Contact the counselor
• Speak to Mr. Hall about pursuing this merit badge and obtain a blue card!

Monday is President's Day so school is out. The PLC decided in January to follow the schools' lead and not hold a meeting. Our next meeting is February 24th!

New 2025 Troop 65 Ski Trip

February 21-23 | Winterplace Resort

If you RSVP'ed for the 2025 Ski Trip, please be on the lookout today for an email with important information needed for each of your Scouts and other attendees which needs to be passed on to Ski Celebration to expedite our receiving ski rental gear. The email will also include a suggested packing list for the weekend.

Please remember, payment will be due before we leave. You can use PayPal or Zelle using the instructions at BSATroop65.org or via cash/check in person at departure

REMINDER! TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ 7:00 PM 

Uniform is Class A with Class B Underneath. Please be sure to bring some paper/notebook and a writing utensil. We will be focusing on a couple of our Citizenship Merit Badges this week!

□ SCOUT SUNDAY IS FEB 16! □

Our Charter Organization, Philadelphia Presbyterian, will hold its annual recognition of Scouting with a Scout Sunday worship service on Sunday, February 16th at 10:30 am. Please see below for RSVP!

□ NEXT PLC IS MONDAY @ 6PM! □

Our next patrol leaders council is tomorrow night at 6 PM. We will be planning our meetings and trips for March. Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant, Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leaders (or Assistant Patrol Leaders), Scribe and Den Chiefs are expected to attend. If you were unable to do so, please let Mr. Hall know.

New 2025 Troop 65 Ski Trip

We are set for our annual Troop 65 ski trip! This year, we will be heading to Winterplace Resort in Ghent, WV.

Our trip is set for February 21st through February 23rd. Our lodging has changed to the Country Inn and Suites in Beckley, WV (approx. 15-20 away).

As always, we will also allow families to attend this trip as well (families that are not registered Scouts or Scouters will need to find their own separate lodging).

NEW SCOUT SUNDAY 2025

Feb 16th @ 10:30 AM | PPC Sanctuary

Each February, around the time of the BSA’s birthday, Scouts around the world to pause and pay extra attention to the Scout law’s finishing point: reverent. Through the celebrations known as Scout Sunday, Scouts take a moment to reflect on their faith.

This year's Scout Sunday at Philadelphia Presbyterian is Sunday, February 16th at 10:30 am! We ask that Scouts attend in full Class A uniform. If you sign up for a role during for the service, we ask that you arrive at 9:30 am for a quick rehearsal. Others should arrive no later than 10:00 am!

REMINDER! FALL COURT OF HONOR IS MONDAY NIGHT @ 7:00 PM in the Old Chapel (next to cemetery)! Uniform is full Class A with Sash!

We will be recognizing and awarding all ranks and merit badges earned over the fall and winter. Parents, be sure to join us! Please drop off your Scout at the Chapel and grab a seat inside!
