TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ 7PM! 

Uniform is Class B or Scout-appropriate shirt!

We know there is no school on Monday for CMS, but the PLC voted to hold a

shortened meeting to prepare for the camping trip.

This meeting will likely only be an hour long so parents, please note!

Also - we have new pricing from our vendor and will soon have an order form available for a new round of Class B items!

NEW SCOUTING AMERICA    

        MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

RENEWALS DUE NOW FOR MOST

It is that time of year where the Troop recharters with Scouting America. This year's recharter fee is $175 per scout plus $15 if you elect to receive Scout Life (this includes dues to national).

The Troop must submit the recharter paperwork by the end of March so we are requesting all payments be made  by Monday, March 24th.  Please click the button below to let Committee Chairman Mr. Cavalline know if your scout is rechartering with the troop and if they want to subscribe to Scout Life.

Payment can be made via cash, check, and PayPal. Please use [email protected] for all PayPal payments. Make sure you select Friends and Family to not incur fees.

REMINDER APRIL CAMPING

April 4th-6th | Belk Scout Camp

Next weekend is our next camping trip! It's at Belk Scout Camp, right around the corner from home.

This will be a great opportunity for the new AOLs to come camping close to home while still learning how trips work in the Troop.

We'll make time for some games, fishing and canoeing. Please RSVP to the trip below! We need to know if you plan on going before we grocery shop on Thursday, April 3rd!

REMINDER 2025 Summer Camp 2nd Payment Due April 1st

June 22-28th | Woodruff Scout Camp

Thank you to those who made your first payment for summer camp. We are closing in on the deadline for the 2nd payment installment. The total for this payment is $150 per Scout, due by April 1st. You can make the payment via cash, check or PayPal (use the button below).

For our 2025 Summer Camp, we are headed to Woodruff Scout Camp in Blairsville, GA (near GA, NC and TN border). We already have details about the camp ready for you to review - just click the button below!

We also have received 2025 merit badge information and will be planning an informational meeting for Summer Camp 2025 soon. It's suggested all attend as Camp Woodruff has some unique features that needs to factor into merit badge decisions!

Counselor lists are now available!

Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists. However, in an effort to make it easier for everyone, we created this website listing all merit badges with Eagle required highlighted in blue

Don't forget the proper procedure:

• Choose which merit badge you would like to earn
• Contact the counselor
• Speak to Mr. Hall about pursuing this merit badge and obtain a blue card!

I'd like to say thank you to the Scouts who volunteered their Saturday morning to help spread 20 cubic yds of mulch and refresh the sand in the sandbox at the church's playground. I received this text from the chairperson of PPC's building and grounds committee:

"Please extend my most heartfelt thanks to the Pack and Troop for their awesome assistance.  That whole project was made so much better by your hard work!  We appreciate it so much."

Scouts in attendance should also be sure to get their handbook signed for service hours!

NEW PPC Spring Workday

Mar 21st | 8a-12p | Philadelphia Pres

Our Charter Organization, Philadelphia Presbyterian, is hosting a spring campus workday and needs some help! Most of the work will be sprucing up the grounds and some exterior building maintenance. One of the biggest needs is helping spread mulch across the playground next to Bigham Hall, which is a great task for our Scouts and Pack 65 Cub Scouts. Please consider signing up at the link below to help PPC and earn some service hours!

Mar 10th: Patrol & Asst Patrol Leaders

On Feb 24th, the Troop elected Ethan Sitar as our new Senior Patrol Leader. Now it is time to elect our next Patrol Leaders! The deadline to file is Sunday, March 9th! This allows time to have your name added to the ballots for election on for March 10th.

NEW 2025 TROOP CROSSOVER

Mar 15th, 2025 @ 6pm | Scout Hut

It's that time of year where we welcome the Arrow of Light Scouts to Troop 65 to continue their Scouting trail. The Crossover Ceremony is set for Saturday, March 15th at 6:00 pm. 

We need as many from the Troop as possible to welcome in our new Scouts. We ask Scouts to arrive by 5:00 pm for setup! We also need a few Patrol Leaders to assist along with the Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders.

NEW MORROW MTN CAMPOUT

Mar 7-9, 2025 | Albemarle, NC

For March's camping trip, we will be heading to Morrow Mountain State Park for the weekend. With 37 miles of trails plus opportunities for fishing, it will be a great weekend of camping just for the fun of camping.

Below is the signup for the trip along with the option for a Chick-fil-a Boxed Meal on departure day.
