NO TROOP MEETING MONDAY!

Just a quick reminder that there is no Troop meeting this week. Our next meeting is set for Monday, August 4th. IF YOU ARE GOING ON WHITEWATER TRIP, PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

□ Help! Missing Handbook! □

One of our Scouts' handbook disappeared after our last meeting on July 21st. It was in the basic tan/green handbook cover. Please double-check you/your Scout did not grab it by accident last Monday!

INFO WHITEWATER RAFTING

CHATTOOGA RIVER | AUG 8-10TH

The signup for the Whitewater trip is now closed. If you are signed up to attend, there is some important items you need to complete before we depart.

First, parents should all have received an email about signing the waiver for your scout to raft. There is a link to the left for the waiver list for each rafting option. Please be sure to complete this by August 6th.

We also need payment before we depart on August 8th. Please contact Mr. Hall if you have questions about what you owe.

Finally, there is a link to the left for our itinerary and packing list. Please be sure to review!

NEW 2025-2026 CALENDAR

A few weeks ago, Troop 65, 1265 and Pack 65 met to set and coordinate our calendars for September 2025 through August 2026. I will be importing these into Scoutbook as well as the Troop Google Calendar (see link above) by July 7th. Most will not have a set location for our camping trips, but will have the dates for your planning purposes.

And, just as a reminder, here are the remaining dates for this summer:

• AUG 4: SUMMER MEETING
• AUG 8-10: WHITEWATER RAFTING
• AUG 18: SUMMER MEETING
• AUG 25: REGULAR MEETING

Finally, please remember that advancement is still possible over the summer. You can still contact Mr. Hall for Scoutmaster Conferences and Mrs. Adams for Boards of Review. Summer is a great time to rank up!

Need a Merit Badge Counselor?

Counselor lists are now available!

Scoutbook only gives registered leaders access to the Merit Badge Counselor lists. However, in an effort to make it easier for everyone, we created this website listing all merit badges with Eagle required highlighted in blue

Don't forget the proper procedure:

• Choose which merit badge you would like to earn
• Contact the counselor
• Speak to Mr. Hall about pursuing this merit badge and obtain a blue card!

NEXT SUMMER TROOP MEETING MONDAY!

Just a quick reminder that our next Troop meeting is Monday, July 21st at 7pm at the Scout Hut. Just as our other summer meetings, uniform is Class B (or other Scout-appropriate t-shirt) and the meeting is only an hour long.

NEW TROOP GAMING LOCK-IN

KERR BUILDING | JULY 25-26TH

Back by popular demand, the Troop Summer lock-in! Scouts are encouraged to bring video game consoles (there are six TVs to which we can connect... if you have a small, portable TV, feel free to bring it), card/board games, anything they want to do for fun for the night!

Scouts can get dropped off starting at 6:00 pm on Friday night. We'll have pizza, snacks and drinks for that night and a grab and go breakfast on the next morning. Scouts will need to be picked up by 9:00 am on Saturday, July 26th. The cost to attend is $5 for the food and drinks. Sign up to attend below! PLEASE RSVP BY TUESDAY, JULY 22ND SO WE KNOW HOW MUCH FOOD TO ORDER!

NEW WHITEWATER RAFTING

CHATTOOGA RIVER | AUG 8-10TH

What better way to cool down in the dog days of summer than a whitewater rafting trip! We'll be heading to the Georgia-South Carolina border to hit some big water on one of the Southeast's most ionic river - the Chattooga! We have two options for experience level that you can read more about at the link.

For camping, we will be staying at Camp Rainey Mountain, a Scout camp in Clayton, Georgia located just 15-20 minutes from our rafting location.

TROOP MEETING MONDAY @ VETERAN'S PARK!

Our summer meetings resume tomorrow with a Troop meeting at 7:00pm at Veteran's Park. No need for Class A. Wear your Class B uniform or other scout appropriate shirt. We'll have a short time focused on sign-offs and then fun in the park so bring some balls/frisbees/etc!

TROOP 65 CLASS-B ORDER UPDATE!

Great news for those who order Class B items for Troop 65. Most of our order was delivered the day before we departed for camp. We issued items to some of those who had yet to receive their Class B items since crossing over to the troop. I will be working sorting the remaining orders over the next two weeks and will have them available on July 21st. Please note, some items are backordered as our vendor is experiencing major supply chain issues. Those items will be delivered once they are available
