It is that time of year where the Troop recharters with Scouting America. The committee decided we are going to change it up this year. We are asking everyone to pay your national recharter dues online. This is due to all the varying renewal dates we have for our scouts. You all should have received emails from Scouting America about you and/or your scouts renewal is upcoming. There are a large number of us who expire 3/31/26. You can access the renewal by logging into https://my.scouting.org/ and pay the fee. The Troop will also have dues separate from the national fee. We will determine that cost at our committee meeting in February. Feel free to reach out to Mr. Cavalline if you have any questions.

NEW MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS

FOR FEB 2ND, 2026

COURT OF HONOR GRAPHIC

COURT OF HONOR MONDAY @ 7:00 PM!

As of now, we are planning to proceed with our Court of Honor for Monday at 7:00 pm. Mr. Hall drove the church parking lot just before sunset on Sunday and melting had improved the parking lot a good bit. We hope another day of sunshine and temps near 40 will make it possible to hold our Court of Honor. The location will remain the old Chapel. Please drop your Scout off in the narthex/lobby and proceed into the chapel and find a seat. Should weather conditions on Monday require us to reschedule, Mr. Hall will send out an update via email, band and text (if you are signed up for Scoutbook text alerts).

⚠️ PLC SET FOR FEB 2ND @ 6PM ⚠️

Our next PLC, weather permitting, will be Monday, February 2nd in the Scout Hut at 6:00 pm before our Court of Honor. The Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leaders (or Assistant Patrol Leaders), Scribe and Den Chiefs should attend.

REMINDER SCOUTING FOR FOOD

SCOUT HUT

HANG TAG DROP OFF: BEFORE FEB 5TH

FOOD PICKUP: FEB 7

Weather has thrown a wrench into our Scouting for Food plans. As a result, we are going to tackle the task of advertising the need for food donations in non-traditional ways.

First, anyone who is willing to still place hangtags on doors can pick up a stack and a map of areas needing to be canvassed after Monday's Court of Honor. We ask that you distribute the hangtags in your areas by Wednesday, February 7th.

Second, post on social media/nextdoor accounts about people still participating and dropping off at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church on Saturday after 9:00 am. There are two images of the hangtag which you can share. Download by clicking the red buttons.

This service project is integral for our community. In 2025, Mecklenburg County Council Packs, Troops and Venture Crews collected and sorted approx. 185,000 lbs. of food. Lets's see if we can top that this year!
