Duke Energy 25th Annual Boy Scout Encampment
The Duke Energy Merit Badge Encampment is back for its 25th year on May 10 - May 11.
Friday Night
Check-in will begin at the EnergyExplorium on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Troops will set up their campsites and settle in for a comfortable night on the McGuire lawn. Every troop is asked to come prepared to perform a skit for the rest of the encampment. A cracker barrel for scoutmasters will also take place on Friday night. More details will follow after registration.
Saturday
We are offering 20 merit badge classes this year. Classes will begin around 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m., with an hour lunch break. Please ensure your troop has appropriate adult supervision. Because space is limited in every class, we cannot guarantee every registrant has been placed in his first or second choice. However, we have made every effort to place scouts in a class they chose.
